Five for Friday

I'm pretty sure my 5 for Friday blog posts are ALWAYS done on Saturday or Sunday.. haha.. Sorry about the delay! Anyway- I'm linking up with Doodlebugs for their 5 for Friday Linky Party. Be sure to check out what other teachers have been up to this week!!

1. My husband finally (26 days after me) turned 30! :)

He requested a chocolate chip cookie cake. I found this recipe on Pinterest, and I thought it was delicious!  We also went to Bonefish Grill- his request for a birthday date night dinner. We had never been there, but it was so good! We'll definitely make it a place we visit again!
2. Alright, Groundhog...

I made this little Groundhog's Day prediction graph set. You can find it for free at my TpT store- maybe pick it up for next year! My kids were predicting that he did NOT see his shadow... We were hopeful.. I'm just watching and saw that he did indeed see his shadow.UGh. We have had ENOUGH of this winter already.. We may get more snow tonight.. and it was 56 degrees in the Cincinnati area yesterday! :(

I found a cute free Groundhog's Day set at First Grade Blue Skies TpT store and we drew pictures to go along with their predictions!

 3. Teen Numbers Pack

Next week we're going to start composing and decomposing numbers. I'm very excited to use this set that I created. Be sure to check it out at my TpT store

4. Superbowl Commercials

You've probably already seen this... Buuuuut It's adorable! My daughter is obsessed with "doggies" so we have already watched this several times :) You can view it here on  youtube

5. I was able to put Amelia's hair in pigtails for the first time... Too cute not to share :)

I hope you all had a wonderful week! Pray for no more snow for me- 12 snow days  already and it's just February 2nd!

Currently February

I'm linking up with Farley @ Oh Boy 4th Grade! Be sure to check out what other teachers are up to!

Anyone else LOVE getting everything ready for the following week before they leave school on Friday? I'm not a big fan of staying after school, so I usually bring it all home on Thursday and work after my daughter goes to bed.. I'm so glad to have lesson plans ready AND actually feel like I'm starting to be caught up from all my snow days!

Thinking that I have had enough snow days.. 12 is a LOT.. Probably losing the first 3 days of my spring break.. boo... and we're now getting out June 3... I KNOW the end of the year is going to be tough.. but geezal- 4 days this week was a lot to ask! I think we need to ease back in to this working 5 days straight thing! :)

2 Truths and a Fib-
My parents' anniversary IS on Valentine's Day... Sweet right?
My anniversary is NOT! My mom is a teacher too, so I have no idea what she was thinking... haha.. Summer weddings are much more teacher vacation friendly! Agree? My husband and I picked one of the hottest days of 2010. July 16 :)
I married a younger man. Yep. Sure did.. Henry is younger than me by a whopping 26 days..hehe.. I'm just glad we finally got to January 26. Being 30 while he was still 29 was not something I liked to admit! hehe!
